A relaxed first night to arrive, unwind and meet everyone. There'll be a bonfire, Assamese folk music and dance, henna, and plenty of time to soak in the surroundings — especially lovely if it's your first time in Assam.
We'll start with breakfast, then a short and joyful Haldi — turmeric, blessings and lots of laughter. Quick, colourful and full of good energy.
Juroon is one of Assam's most loved traditions — a warm ceremony where the bride is welcomed into the family with gifts, blessings and a big celebratory lunch. A gentle, meaningful afternoon.
An evening indoors with good food, drinks and music, dinner-party style. A special moment too — this is when we'll share our vows and cut the cake.
The wedding itself — the Assamese Biya — followed by a grand lunch that brings both families to one table.
One last celebration — a big, joyful dinner party to end the three days in style.

Kaziranga is one of India's most beautiful national parks, right in the heart of Assam's tea country. December is the best time to visit — cool, clear and green. If you can, come a day early or stay on. It's a rare and special part of the world.
Early-morning jeep safaris are the highlight — the best chance to spot the famous one-horned rhino, wild elephants and much more.
Green tea gardens stretch out all around. A quiet walk through them is the calmest way to spend an afternoon.
One of the world's mightiest rivers runs through this land. The sunsets over the water are worth the early start.
Handwoven Assamese silks, brass work, and of course the food — warm, wholesome and a treat in itself.
All of our celebrations happen here, out by the grasslands on the edge of the national park — lawns, open spaces and quiet corners, all in one place. This is home for the whole three days.
